The Lick-Wilmerding High School Fund for Success was established in 2010 to support students who need additional academic resources during the summer prior to entering ninth grade at the school.
Ways of supporting students and the use of this fund have grown over the past several years. Now, the Fund for Success provides broad-based financial support to those students who participate in our Flexible Tuition program, thereby ensuring that our students have the ability to fully participate in their LWHS experience.
With the onset of COVID-19 in the second semester of the 2019–2020 academic year, and the resulting financial needs of families currently enrolled at LWHS, the school seeks to increase the current amount in the fund. In addition to continuing the support that the fund provides, new contributions will assist with increased demand for Flexible Tuition support and other unforeseen expenses resulting from COVID-19. The use of the money and the recipients of the financial support will be determined by the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and Dean of Adult Equity and Inclusion.
