Reimagining the Main Classroom Building
Six years ago the Board of Trustees and LWHS Administration set out to research the best next steps for the school’s physical plant. Quickly, it became apparent that the old classroom building was outdated, too small, and had seismic challenges. Construction on the new classroom building began in June 2017, and the doors opened in October 2018. Students, faculty, and staff are jubilant about new teaching, learning, and collaborative spaces. The building includes a new third floor, larger classrooms, wider hallways, lots of natural light, and higher ceilings. The net zero building is solar powered. This is the building that will serve the LWHS community over many generations to come.
You can Make The Future
Students at LWHS have benefitted from the financial support of generations that came before them. The wonderful library, theater, shops, and cafeteria are the result of prior capital campaigns, and now it is our turn to make an investment in the classroom building, which is filled with spaces that are transformative for current students as well as future generations.
