Welcome to LWHS
Dear Prospective Students and Families,
At Lick-Wilmerding High School, we educate for impact. Our mission as a private school with a public purpose is to develop the head, heart, and hands of students from all walks of life who contribute to the world with confidence and compassion. While here, LWHS students engage in self-exploration, cooperative learning, and intellectual inquiry. They find their independence and leave our halls ready to change the world with purpose and vigor.
LWHS believes that diversity, in its many forms, adds to the richness of life. Difference is embraced and celebrated. It is by design that LWHS welcomes students from a wide array of socioeconomic, ethnic and racial backgrounds who demonstrate an even greater variety of interests, abilities, and a passion for learning. Does this sound like you?
We invite you to start your LWHS journey with our Virtual Tour. Over the course of the fall, we will provide many opportunities to learn more about us through student shadow visits, Open Houses, and much more! One of our hopes is that at the end of your high school admissions process, you will discover a new appreciation for yourself, your interests, and talents. On the following web pages, you will find information to make your application process to LWHS go as smoothly as possible. Selecting a high school can be quite daunting, yet exciting—so please don't hesitate to contact us with questions at your leisure.
We look forward to meeting and learning more about you throughout the year's admissions process!
Kindest regards,
Davion, Michelle, Oona, and Racky
