Campus Shadow Visits

Prospective applicants are not required to visit, but it is recommended as a way for students to judge for themselves whether LWHS is a good match given their high school aspirations. Fall 2019 visits begin Tuesday, September 10 and run through Friday, December 6.

To schedule a campus visit, an inquiry form must first be submitted. Visits between September 10 and October 18 can be requested beginning Wednesday, August 28, and visits between October 23 and December 6 can be requested beginning Sunday, October 6. The Campus Shadow Visit Request Form will be emailed to all families that have submitted an inquiry form before each request date. Please note preferred days/dates and times on the Campus Shadow Visit Request Form, and the Admissions team will do their best to accommodate requests.

Campus visits are available as morning or afternoon sessions, both include the same components:

Open Houses

RSVPs are required for all Open House events. Beginning Tuesday, September 24 at 7pm, all families who submitted an inquiry form will be sent an email invitation to RSVP for an Open House.

The LWHS Open House program includes introductory remarks from the Head of School, Director of Admissions, and Chair of the Technical Arts Department. Visitors will also attend three different classroom presentations given by faculty members for a more comprehensive look into the academic program and co-curricular opportunities at LWHS. Due to the high level of interest in LWHS we are only able to permit prospective 8th graders, transfer applicants, and their parents/guardians to attend. The number of attendees per family is limited to three, including the prospective applicant. We will not accommodate any families who do not have a registration confirmation on the day of an event.

2019–2020 Open House dates:
  • Sunday, October 6, 1:00–4:00pm
  • Saturday, October 26, 1:00–4:00pm
