Alex's Lemonade Stand

Mission Statement

Alex's Lemonade Stand is a foundation that was started by a young girl named Alex Scott who was diagnosed with cancer before her 1st birthday. At the age of 4, she asked her parents if she could hold a lemonade stand to raise money for the doctors to help them find a cure. After having her first lemonade stand and raising over 2,000 dollars, she continued on her goal to helping other sick children like her. Unfortunately, she passed away at the age of 8, but her name and foundation have continued to grow and change lives everyday. At Lick-Wilmerding we hope to use our resources to help raise money for kids just like Alex, while getting as many students involved as possible. Using baking to connect and educate others on how they can get involved too. We don't want this to be any community service club, we hope students will form a connection to Alex and her story and help us achieve our goals of growing our club using our head, heart, and hands.
