Tigers Roar Through Fall Season

Three cheers to our fall sports athletes for an outstanding season! LWHS teams celebrated several milestone moments across multiple programs:

Boys Flag Football Dominates – The varsity team completed a perfect 12–0 season and captured the 2025 BCL West Championship title, showcasing the program's depth with 51 players across two teams.

Girls Water Polo Makes History – For the first time ever, the girls varsity water polo team qualified for the NCS playoffs, capping off an impressive 15–9 overall season that demonstrated the program's growth and competitive spirit.

Girls Tennis Team Continues a Strong Season – Our Girls Tennis team finished second in the league for the regular season! In BCL West Individuals, Camryn M. '27 and Leila R. '29 finished 3rd in doubles! The team earned #3 seed in NCS Division 1 team playoffs: we wish them luck as playoffs continue.

Cross Country Still Running into November: Ella M. '26 broke the record at the BCL W/C Championship meet with the fastest time of 16:47.47! We look forward to hearing which runners qualify for NCS and State Championships.

And special congratulations to Girls Volleyball seniors Elizabeth B. '26 and Maxine H. '26, who have committed to continue their athletic careers at Colorado College and Macalester College, respectively. We're always proud to see our Tigers competing at the next level!

Our fall season also saw the launch of girls flag football as a new club sport, the continuation of Personal Growth Mondays, and the addition of a certified athletic trainer through UCSF, reinforcing LWHS's commitment to student-athlete development and safety. A huge shoutout to the LWHS Athletics Department—Coach Eliot, Spencer, Jerrieza and Amyalong with all our fall coaches: the real MVPs behind all these milestones!

With championship meets and playoff competition still ahead for cross country and tennis, Tigers athletes continue to represent the school with excellence and pride.
