Welcome to LWHS

Dear Prospective Student,

As a private school with a public purpose, Lick-Wilmerding strives to be an inclusive community where students develop qualities of the head, heart, and hands that will serve them well throughout their lives. LWHS' faculty and community encourage independence, self-exploration, cooperative learning, intellectual inquiry, and contribution to the world at large. We believe that diversity in its many forms adds to the richness of "life at Lick." Students with a variety of interests and abilities who demonstrate a passion for learning embrace the myriad of opportunities during their four years within the LWHS community.

We invite you to "get to know Lick” and we most certainly, would love to get to know you. One of our hopes is that at the end of your high school admissions process, you will discover a new appreciation for yourself, your interests, and talents. On the following web pages, you will find information to make your application process to LWHS go as smoothly as possible. Selecting a high school can be quite daunting, yet exciting—so please don't hesitate to contact us with questions at your leisure.

May you have a wonderfully successful and enjoyable school year!

Kindest regards,
